If owner satisfaction is the most important factor to new car-buyers, than Lincoln has something pretty significant to brag about. Recently, AutoPacific, an automotive research firm based out of Southern California, studied over 68,000 new vehicle owners and concluded that Lincoln earns top marks in the 2011 Vehicle Satisfaction Awards (VSA).

Lincoln was recognized as the overall premium brand in customer satisfaction, and a myriad of their models were also identified. Amongst those singled out were the Lincoln MKZ, which was announced the winner in the luxury midsize car class, Lincoln MKZ Hybrid, the winner among hybrid cars, and the Lincoln MKT, which won the premium luxury crossover SUV category. To determine these rankings, a comprehensive survey was created which asked owners, over a 12 month period, to rate their experience with their three year old vehicles. Survey-takers were able to rank their satisfaction by choosing to note any vehicle issues out of a list of over 200 in eight categories.

Lincoln marketing manager C.J. O'Donnell commented that "Lincoln has come a long way. We're very proud to see Lincoln selected as the top premium brand in the 2011 AutoPacific Vehicle Satisfaction Awards on the basis of owner feedback. You'll feel the difference the moment you get in a Lincoln."

Adding to the good news, it seems that there is a high correlation between vehicles that win awards and consumers purchasing patterns. AutoPacific's president George Peterson confirmed "Proof of satisfied customers is as good as gold. We've found that more than one-third of new car buyers are positively influenced by objective awards based on owner ratings when deciding on a new car or truck. Vehicles that score highest in the Vehicle Satisfaction Awards are delivering value and satisfaction across a wide range of attributes. The winners perform well in 48 separate categories that objectively measure the ownership experience."

Clearly, awards are more than a publicity stunt and do much more than just give an advertising boost to a certain make or model. Companies like AutoPacific are shaping public opinions and making buying good cars easier for the average consumer who may know very little about the automotive market. Unbiased awards have always been a reliable way to discern whether a vehicle is worth the money or not. AutoPacific claim that 43% of consumers are influenced by "awards based on safety ratings" and 38% are influenced by "awards based on owner ratings" autel mk908.

Lincoln hopes that these recent winning will not go unnoticed and in-turn help to boost the consumers views that Lincoln is a dependable brand name. In addition to AutoPacific's awards, Lincoln has also received J.D. Power and Associates 2011 highest score for long-term durability among all other vehicle brands.
